Cd Standard Books
- There are several CD standards for audio / data
- The standards are set in series of governing books
1: RED BOOK
- CD-DA ( Cd audio) conventional audio 16bit, 44.1Khz PCM audio
- CD + G, an extension to CD-DA, used for karaoke-text and graphics in sub-code, P,Q,R
- CD-Text, similar to CD + G (notes, song names, etc.) information display.
2: BLUE BOOK
- Enhanced music CD/CD extra , a Cd standard developed for interactive albums.
- The first half of the Cd contains the audio and the second half the data stream.
3: YELLOW BOOK
- CD-ROM, extension of CD’s to store computer data ( originally 650 MB )
- CD-ROM-XA, extended Architecture (interleaving audio, text and data absolute)
4: WHITE BOOK
- Video-CD, designed as a replacement for video disc systems for karaoke in Japan.
5: GREEN BOOK
- CD-I or CD-Interactive, consumer multimedia (requires stand alone player).
6: ORANGE BOOK
- Photo CD – Kodak
- CD-R
- CD-RW
